Plumbing Red Sea Reefers

I am pre planning for a Red Sea Reefer 350 or 425. I saw the RSR series has a drain and e-drain... Has anyone hard plumbed the e-drain into the same drain as the regular drain? I'm contemplating plumbing both drains into a 1" pvc drain as they are about 3/4" each. Anyone with experience with these setups foresee an issue or can add their voice of opinion please.

The return I have mapped out and planned and should be very easy based off the examples of all the owners/reefers here.

Is the sump going in a fish room? Why would you want to put the E drain into the main drain?

I caution this as the E drain, like the title are for emergency... if that get blocked then you could end up with a overflow in the main display.

In the RSR series the two drains drop down into the sump. I was thinking of hard plumbing them with a t fitting into a larger pvc pipe to keep it all clean.

Thanks guys for all your suggestions. Sounds legit and until I have seen it otherwise, I'll keep them separate. Just thought it would be cleaner a look.

They are also metric so that may make it a little more difficult. They look clean to me already.

Oh it can be adapted pretty easily. Been done by countless members here on r2r.

Yah, I know.. just meant you will have to find the right stuff to make it still appear clean, color wise and stuff. The parts at my lowes... only had white.

Lol yea. I got them all already. Formulin.com and aquariumspecialty.com have a lot of choices. Pvcfittingsonline.com has a lot of unions and valves and fittings in schedule 40(grey) or schedule 80(dark grey) colors.
