hey guys, so recently i bought a 150 sca tank drilled for a synergy shadow, and was a little hesitant on sizing for plumbing sonfigured id ask this and get some suggestions before i went on. I ought a trigger emerald 39 sump which has 1” drain inputs. The lines coming out of the overflow are 1 1/2. Aiming for around 700 or 800 tops flow and the returns are 3/4. Will I be fine to do the drains to sump at 1” right off the overflow, or should i drill the sump inputs and make them 1 1/4 or 1 1/2? Would be a lot cheaper to run them all 1”, but will increase that if i need to. Just dont know a lot about plumbing capacities and this will be my first bean animal. Any thoughts?

Shouldn't be a problem reducing right at the overflow box, especially with the flow rates your aiming for which are well under a 1" siphons capacity.:)

With a full siphon you can get a lot more flow than you're desiring with 1" lines. I have 1" lines and about 1400 gph with a Bean Animal and my gate valve is cranked down a bunch.

Good deal! Thank you guys, was just wanting to make sure before insoent any more money
