First post here. Had a 125g reef tank about 10 years ago but had to move and ended up selling it. Starting up a new tank, and have the Redsea Reefer S 1000.

I want to use the closet under the stairs for a fish room, and plumb the sump into there. That being said, what’s the cleanest way to pass plumbing through the wall for the overflow and return? I could just cut a hole, but want something that looks a bit more finished.

Ideas?

Is your tank against the same wall as fish room? I assume you are on a cement slab.

Welcome to the addiction? I also am in Austin near the Salt Lick.

Welcome to R2R
Drill the hole and cover it in a shroud

Yes. It’s on a slab with tile and it’s on the same wall.
I love going out to Salt Lick. We’re out in Manchaca. Small world!

This is best time of year for the Salt Lick. I live within 10 minutes of you, when it works for you, stop by for a visit. I live 1 mile off of 1826 and 4 miles north of Salt Lick. I was a sponsor in Austin Reef Club before I found this site.
