I know there are opinions on plumbing UV's to run inline from sump through your return and into the display so wasn't looking to start up those discussions here. I was looking to see if others have setup their UV to target their displays only for intake and return.

I'm wanting to help out a buddy of mine with plumbing in his UV. On my tank I have a closed loop so I ended up plumbing in the UV directly so contact is with display only and would like to duplicate this setup if at all possible without a closed loop on his tank.

We have an Varios 6 pump for the setup but just need some ideas on how to mount/plumb it so we are not dealing with gravity/prime issues when turning the pump on and off if thats possible.

Hopefully this makes sense.

I set mine in the return line, and T the top of the return to a airline that goes into the overflow chamber, as soon as the pump is of the airline gets air and break the siphon.
