Thanks for the info from before! You definitely helped me construct this set-upThe valves are located at the correct locations and will give you the ability to control the UV flow.

I haven't glued anything in piece. I just received a reactor so I'm looking to find a way to fit that in the cabinet too. I'll let you know how it goes! How’s the plumbing going? I am awaiting my waterbox and want to plumb a Uv off the Manafold and back inline to the return.... I was told it would not
Work... I have spent hours searching for other examples until I changed my google
Search and found your post!
how is it working so far? Any flow issues?
I did remove the ATO and got one to place on the media side of the stand. I’ve read the stock ATO is too small and you’ll have to refill it every 2-3days. That’s too often for me, unless you’re planning on using it as a refugium which I’ve seen a few people do.So you completely took out the ATO resivoir? I have a similar tank but different sump. I have V2. Yours is V3 sump set up with the Red Sea reefer 350? Im looking into how to do the hard plumbing for my sump with keeping my reservoir.

I think what’s going to make your life easier is to get rid of the stock ATO and buy a larger one...one that’s at least 5g. I’ve seen a lot of people use slim tall ones and put them right next to the sump and they look good.OMG so true about the ATO every few days. I hate it. I bought it was just me doing something wrong- I still have to adjust the baffling door so the pump can get water every few days too. How do I fix that issue?
Anyhow, this is my sump. I really want the Pentair 18w UV but I have no idea how its gonna fit in there. I plan to add it in with my Vectra S2 return pump with valve controls exactly like your set up. quite powerful little pump. What pump do you have? Im not a plumber but about to become one lol. This is fun.

Which UV is that? Looks like a Pentair.
I think Im going to just bite the bullet and get the 18w pentair. Im going to try to figure out how to plumb this onto the ceiling of the sump cabinet. I have no idea what im doing. LoL but ill figure it out. I so far have learned a lot from your thread. So Im going off of this when I receive my pentair.I have the Pentair 18w. I was originally wanting the 25w but it wouldn’t fit in the stand. I was told by Pentair that the 18w is good enough for the tank. I’m no expert, but I always think total water volume when it comes to equipment.
The ceiling is the way I meant. I just didn’t know how to describe it lol. I was going to do it on the ceiling originally, but then the intake and output would be on the side and not pointing up like recommended by the manufacturer. But I’ve seen a lot of people do it that way.
What if the input an output are facing down? IS it still going to work?I have the Pentair 18w. I was originally wanting the 25w but it wouldn’t fit in the stand. Manufacture said it’s best to have them facing up to allow air to escape. Having them face down or sideways could trap air in the unit. But again, I’ve seen several people do it that way. Just know that this this is big lol. I’ll send you some pics of me holding it in different position last to give you an idea. Do you have a reefer 350?What if the input an output are facing down? Yes i have the reefer 350 also. I drew out some ideas of how to plumb it. Can’t wait to receive it.Manufacture said it’s best to have them facing up to allow air to escape. So you ordered it? Lol congrats!Yes i have the reefer 350 also. I drew out some ideas of how to plumb it. Can’t wait to receive it.
I’m not understanding why I should also put one on the output side of the UV, if there will be one on the intake side. The intake one will control the flow that is in the UV. What will the output one do?
I love the NYOS torq 2.0 dual reactor btw. Or the 1.0 better because it has suction feet and allows you to turn the unit for removal. Haven’t had any issues with mine and is very sleek and sits nicely without taking up real estate for my huge skimmer. Just a suggestion. Lots of people are biased about this brand.I haven't glued anything in piece. I just received a reactor so I'm looking to find a way to fit that in the cabinet too. I'll let you know how it goes!
