Can anyone help me which would be the best way to plumb a uv sterilizer? I have a manifold with three unused ball valves. I have a 125 gallon tank and a Jebao 18000 return pump. Can I use one of those ports on my manifold or do I have to get a separate pump?

I use these... just dont let the UV-C light shine on fish or coral. Search on Amazon under "UV-C Submersible" .... $12

Do you place it in the return back of the tank where the return/drains are?

You can certainly plumb it from one of those unused manifold valves.
Many people would mount the unit on the back wall of the sump compartment, if there's room.
Keep in mind that the bulb will have to be replaced from time to time, esp if you run it continuously.

do u hav room under your stand? im in process of building a broodstock station, with a nice size UV that's new and picked up for about free. I just don't know if its TOO MUCH, hahaha. Ill find out soon. I figured the best way, for me anyhow, is to use those meta straps and secure in about 3 places. then the tubing that feeds the UV and the IN/OUT tubing will be hidden for most part. I wasn't sure if I shoud use silicon tubing, but Id have to pay premium price for that at BRS for just a foot. Im also going to just have a dedicated pump to feed the UV, Hook to my Apex and run it on a schedule if I should need to in the future. have you decided on what youre goin to do? Im in the midst of building a killer clown/blenny, cleaner and skunk shrimp and clown gobies. I also forgot the Bangaiis too. Im not making any money or anthing. Its purely for my own enjoyment. Its very rewarding. Anyways, im in the process of replumbng and adding some necesary equipment. I aslo have a larval rearing combined with my phyto and first foods like the copepods and rotifers. Im looing for ideas on plumbing and new to the forum. I must be missing something here, but seen like the members just want to show off their toys. Good luck with the UV. don't know how big it is, but like I sad the metal straps work like diamonds, and cheap solution. Just make sure to get a non- ferrous material, or better yet a strong plastic strap if it holds very well. From experience, no matter what you do, add a valve. They are ealsily accessible if something bad happens and much more safer than reaching for an electrical outlet. hehehee. I hope I gave you at least some ideas.good luck
