First time hard plumbing an entire tank with a shadow overflow. How does this look? Do I need to change anything? I would like to add some unions on the return but I'm not sure where would be the best places.

looks good! I would add a union right before the 90 where it goes into the tank, and on each side of the T coming out of the sump :)

Looks great, I would add a valve on each return line after the T so you can balance the flow between the two outlets and... what crabs said;) also add a union above the gate valve on the main siphon for easy maintenance

how tall is that emergency drain pipe? It looks almost to the top. If it is you'll want to lower that a little bit.

I thought it looked tall. I already have it shorter than in the shadow overflow plumbing video. Thanks for all of your advice.
Maybe its the angle of the picture. Just don't want it to close to the top where it can overflow out of the box :)

Where's the fun in playing it safe;) It's not real DIY plumbing until you flood your floor atleast once
