How many gph can go down a 1" pipe...
On the other side, what is the max capacity of a 3/4" return line.. I have a jebao 6500 with a max capacity of 1710gph for two of those 3/4" return line.. do you think I'll have to tune it down a bit?

What do you guys think?

Mathieu

1' pipe gravity fed can handle approximately 1100 gph. 3/4 inch under pressure I believe can handle 1400 gph.

Not looking to disagree but...

A 1” pipe, gravity fed, with air going down with the water, meaning not full siphon, and anything more than 950-ish and you’re pushing your luck. Add a couple of elbows and less

Without knowing the details of your return piping system, I would not expect more than 600-800 gph from two 3/4" returns.

now the column that says gravity drain only, no pressure added ismt factoring in if you have a siphon with a gate valve. If you do itll be more gph than listed. On 1' if it's a full siphon ive read it's around 1000 gph max

Cool

On a single drain design wouldn’t go more than 800 for noise. Anything more than 850 and water level in overflow will fluctuate and sound like a toilet flushing over and over. Stockman standpipe and other mods can help with that.
Full siphon on that same one inch pipe can do 1,400 ish, and elbows don’t effect full siphon nearly as much
