I have 2 different questions regarding plumbing:

1) I want to put a flow rate indicator before my UV sterilizer to help me gauge how much head pressure I need to create on my return lines to achieve desired flow through my UV. What brands of flow rate indicators are available that people have worked with for either 1" or 2" PVC?

2) I am doing a dual pump return. I do not want the pumps to compete with one another or wear the other out. Is the best way to avoid this to use a 'Y' union? What other methods are there?

hi,not sure on pressure gauge,but as far as pumps would run separately poss run some equip,off one ,some off other,save yourself headaches later use lots of unions and valves,where ever poss future maintenance will be needed
