So the way my sump is setup, my return can exit out of the sump to a 1.25", then up to the tank into 1" bulkhead. I also have the option of using 2 1" exits out of my sump I could use for the return pump. I will be using 2 of the COR-20. I am wondering what the best solution is? I would think it best to run each return (2) running off of a pump. The question would be what size PVC to use?

Thanks

Is your sump directly under the tank? How much head height do the pumps need to push? I would probably exit the 2 pumps seperately into an upsized pipe as far as you can up to the bulkhead. So, 2 pumps each seperate 1" outlets, then into upsized pipe 1.25" or 1.5" up to the bulkhead.

Sump is directly under the tank.
The pumps I will be using are the COR-20
Tanks is 30"
Stand is 36"

As far as the pumps go yes that will be easy to do going seperately into the bulkhead on the sump which is 1", then I can upsize until they hit the back of the tank. Any benfit going 1.25 or 1.50 over the other? I have all the plumbing to do the 1.25, but if I need to order the 1.50, I can do that as well.

Thanks for the help.

At those distances (fairly short) I would stick with 1.25". The gain in upsizing to 1.5" won't be so great that it justifies the increase imo. 1.5" pvc is pretty bulky and I think you would be satisfied with everything at 1.25"

Ok perfect, I will give it a try and see how it goes, plus the fact I already have everything for the 1.25, will save me a fair amount.

Thanks again

I think you will be happy with that setup! Unions and valves would probably be a good idea, that way you can take out one pump for cleaning or whatever easily and keep the tank running on partial speed. Let us know how you like those new pumps!
