PM kalk reactor and Tunze ATO

I have a Tunze osmolator and ended up getting a precision marine kalk reactor. The input of the kalk reactor is for semi rigid tubing. The tubing from the osmolator is the regular flexible hose. Any mods or ways I can use semi rigid line with the Tunze osmolator? Any John Guest fittings that would work on the osmolator pump?

I know the timing is poor for this recommendation, but maybe consider the Tunze kalk reactor? I like it...and fit is obviously no issue.

I had the same setup and the hose plugged right into the John Guest fitting with no problems.

Not sure I'm trying to have an accident. The semi rigid tubing is meant for the JG fitting not the one the comes with the osmolator.

I assume you mean you tried and it was too loose on your setup? Wonder if they changed the tubing since @gcarroll's was purchased? If it's handy, can you post a pic of yours?

So the tube is in there but it's not very secure. I can pull on it and it comes out pretty easy. I'm a very anal retentive individual when it comes to using something that's meant to be used rather than settling.

Get a John guest to barb fitting. Then run RO tubing from the reactor to the JG side of the fitting, then osmolator tubing to the barb side of the fitting.

There is the possibility that I used a different hose between the check valve and the kalk reactor. If so it would have been sprinkler drip line. I do recall having to insure that the hose was all the way into the JG fitting because it is a tad bigger than RO hose.

None of this stuff was intended to be used like this....John Guest Don't Know Reefs!!!! I'm not sure "settling" is such a clear concept.

Use your common sense....if it doesn't seem secure, it's probably not. There's no need for anal retention.

Maybe experiment with some other "1/4 inch" tubing like this.

You sure that barb will fit something that's airline tubing-sized on the inside?? I think that's referred to as a 1/8" barb, isn't it? 1/4" is the O.D.

I'm quite sure it'll fit. If it's a tight fit, place the end of the Tunze ATO tubing in a bit of boiling water for a few seconds. That will make it pliable enough to fit over the 1/4" barbed fitting.
