Hello,

I am currently setting up a new Apex Classic. I have the BU all ready to go and am able to control everything from Fusion. I did a successful firmware update via LAN.

My PM2 and ALD modules, connected directly to the EB8, are sitting at a solid orange light and I am unable to configure either of them. I tried unplugging the modules and plugging them back in. I even reset the entire Apex. Nothing has worked so far.

Have you tried the Classic dashboard instead of Fusion to see if those modules are listed? If they are there, you might also try updating the module software.

By the way, where are you in Oregon? I’m in Beaverton.

I updated the firmware for both. No dice. Here’s the list of modulates on my system from the classic dashboard.
I’m in Klamath Falls.

Are any of these second-hand devices, or brand new?

Plugged directly into the BU. Same thing. The whole system is second hand. I reset all the settings before setting it up.

Have you tried different cables? Other than checking the AquaBus ports and cables for corrosion, I’m not sure what else can be done.

If you know anyone else with an Apex, try connecting a module to theirs to see if it exhibits the same problem.

By the way, are you a member of PNWMAS? We have members all over Oregon and Washington, but I’m not sure if anyone is in Klamath Falls. We have an opt-in member map which is useful for discovering other local reefers. Check us out at http://pnwmas.org

It’s weird, the modules show up on the dashboard and display module but I have no ability to set them up or control them. Would unplugging the modules and resetting the Apex memory help? I don’t have much programmed in.
