Pmup alternatives

Avast diaphragm pump highly recommended here as well. Been using a trio since about the time they first came out. They’ll pull or push with equal facility. Had one of mine pulling through 25’ of airline tubing. No problem. Not quiet, certainly, but only runs occasionally.
Noise is why I want to keep it in the basement but good to know I can move to power bar if the transfer idea doesnt pan out.

Contacted avast and got reply below. Have everything ordered and hoping to implement this weekend.
Feelmuch better about this long term and that pmup was making me nervous about being away for too long.

"We are actually planning on releasing them in 24v with the correct connection to the Neptune port. We have everything here to build them, they just have not gone into production yet. That said, yes the transformer will work, just cut the power cable and splice it in."

These PMUPs are disaster waiting to strike. Caveat Emptor.

PMUP seems to be a problem child over the last few months in which Apex needs to do a field investigation.
Sicce micro and cobalt mini should do well

are there any good “upgrades” to the pmup?
I have my ato tank in the basement and M using the pmup for top off with atk.
It been about a week and this morning it was just grinding away. Turned it off off till tonight when I had to undo my wiring, plumbing and drain my salt tank which sits over the RODI tank so I can get to the pump. Had fine black plastic bits floating around the tank. Took the pump apart and it started again but I no longer trust it as a ato pump. Are there any easy upgrades any one can suggest ? I don’t have a power bar in the basement but might be willing to buy one. It’s anout 10 feet of head pressure through apex Dos tubing.

Options?
Do you use Kalk in the ATO with the pmup?

The spectrapure stand alone pumps a beast too. But it's about twice the price of the Avast. It's a peristaltic pump so no back siphoning.

Avast pump is awesome. Nice little pulp that's quiter and much faster than the pmup. Pretty sure this will last much longer and be less trouble in the long run.
Also great that it does not have to sit inside my ATO tank.
Amazon 24v to 12v DC transformer works great.
Thanks all for the great advice.

Sweet setup! Yeah, I’ve been really impressed with the stuff that Avast offers. I have their 25 ml/min peristaltic pump to run my Avast K1 kalk stirrer, Spyglass reactor, break out box, diaphragm pump and pressure switch ATO... awesome, competitively priced gear with fantastic customer service! :)

The Avast diaphragm pump can push out 60 psi at 130 ft of head pressure, so if you need to plug it into your power bar, it won’t be a problem.

@Water Dog - Avast Marine is the best kept secret! That's what I will be running on my new SCA 150 rimless system that will be connected to my GHL P4. Great Combo and made solid.

Yep, going to be pluging it in w/ my PAB BAR but I am going to install the Diaphragm pump under my cabinet and bring in the fresh RODI water and push it out from my salt water mixing station through my Avast Marine Kalk stirrer that I also have sitting by my sump.
