Yeah the colors are sweet. It has grown a bit. But I must admit I haven't been giving much light to any of my chalices. I just re-aquascaped and everything yesterday when I added the new Nextreef reactor. I also used a par meter and made some adjustments to the light height and stuff.
So it will be more of a baseline once I get the camera and then can go from here. Up till now conditions have been less than ideal

I will. I have just been crazy busy lately with the news of the baby and stuff.
Not to mention my wife took the laptop - and her computer sucks!
Soon though - I got the new Canon in and it looks pretty good for taking pics so far.

congrats on the new cam man .. Keep snapping till you get use to it.. a 3000.00 body and 500 body makes no difference snapping coral pics in IMO .. Macro lens helps but practice is the key for nice pics

Yes it does but snapping corals as long as you got a macro lens u are fine.. Like I said only in corals, I am sure snapping people ,events, nature and others is a plus for having the expensive one's

Im not sure what camera you use. I only have an xti and use Macro lens..

Do you set your own WB and use custom settings, i mean you get as close as possible to the colors you have but nothing beats seeing them in person! My stuff really seems to be washed out a bit and i dont really want to doctor them in PS.

I use the ( WB) Shade on my camera and ISO 400.. I try to eliminate some blue if the picture comes out on the blue side... Yes you have to see in person to know if I am trying to doctor the color. I try to make the pic atleast 99% of what the actual coral looks like... Also there is a difference between shooting from the glass and topdown.
