Does anyone have any ideas on how to manage the spread of pocillopora corals. I used to like the fact that they would pop up in random spots but its going to far now as I can see at least 10 more starting to grow and I already have a rock dedicated to them. I even have one on a turbo snail with a few polyps on it now. Only way I know how is to cover it with epoxy or superglue, does anyone have a better method.

Take a tooth brush and go to town on any new pop ups that you don’t want. Controlling SPS coral is very doable.

I really feel like an idiot now didn’t even dawn on me that they’re small enough for that to work lol. This is going to be a lot easier than I thought thank you.

I have had poci for 4 years now.... Never spread....

I'm getting them everywhere now under full blues I can see little single polyps all over and 5 or 6 others are already dime size. I don't know if it means my parameters are awesome or horrible for them to do this. I definitely wish some of my other corals increased like this.

How to control it? Get it all out of your tank!

I had the main colony break in half when aquascaping about 6 months ago and made an island of just Poci but they're popping up everywhere.

I think thats what I'm going to do or just move the rock to a FOWLR tank I'm setting up.

I had a pink and neon green one. The pink one didn't spread or grow too fast. The green one was a pain. Took me months to eradicate it. It was a pretty coral but never again.
