I picked this up about two weeks ago. Its looked great till this morning. I dont know if its my tank or my coral beauty. Have never seen it nipping but dont know if this can happen overnight. Anything I should check for its my only sps I have. Currently moved it to my frag tank.

It looks like the polyps are just retracted. This will happen from time to time. It should be fine. Just keep an eye on it. If it has looked good for a few weeks, dont overreact.

Yes, the polyps are retracted. Could happen from multiple things. If your other coral is growing well then it will be fine.

Definitely looks like its retracted and actually look like it's in good condition still...

This just happened to me yesterday.

But today they are all fine and fluffy...

Mine just did this a little as well but just on some of the tips. Also a very hairy acro was retracting its polyps. Both looked great a few days prior. My no3 had dropped to undetectable and nothing else had changed so I fed a bit more and mixed in a very small amount of Reef Roids in with the fish food. Within a day of starting this PE on the 2 corals has returned. Im guessing if there is a lack of no3 or foods the coral polys can feed on they will retact to save engery since if there is no foods to grab there is no need to extend polyps as much.
