Pod ID

I believe this guy and all it's buddies are good for my tank. Don't seem to be doing anything adverse that I can see or tell.

Ever since I moved the fish out of my R250 these guys have come out and cover everything including the glass, rocks, and sand bed.

I have experience with amphipods that are larger and curled up towards it rear. These guys seem pretty flat but look like amphipods to me and are a lot smaller.

Am I right to assume these are good guys and just another type of amphipods?

They eat detritus and algae and fish enjoy eating them. Harmless and beneficial.

Do they eat smaller pods? I put a bottle of tisbee pods in
after relocating the fish and haven't seen anything from it since except these guys. It's been a good month now. Regular dosing of phyto but haven't seen anything that looks like a pod.

Amphipods might, though I doubt munnid isopods would do so.
