Pod population collapsed after dino's eliminated. Cause?

My tank is about 6 years old and the fish/rock are continuations from systems that have been running about 12 years. I run a 114w UV 24/7 and have for 6 years. I've been battling dinos for the last year. The pod population has been thriving this whole time. At night they are everywhere.

After not making much headway, I finally added a 57w UV directly to the DT and began dosing dinoX at the same time. The dinos disappeared rapidly and have been gone for a week or so.

I noticed this corresponded with my pop population collapsing. I can't find any in the DT and just a few in the sump.

Does anyone know if dinoX or the dino die-off will kill pods? I doubt it was the UV since I've been running the 114w for years with no ill effect on the pods.

I'm not concerned as its easy to get the pod population back up, but more curious what might have caused the collapse??

I had the exact same thing happen. About a week after beating dinos my Mandarin passed. I checked later that night to see if he died of starvation somehow (I had added about 3 bottles of live pods to the water a week earlier) because I had no clue how he died. I didn't see a single copepod. I have no idea why or how it happened so I am interested what the experts have to say!

Sorry about your mandarin. That's actually how I noticed my pods were gone. I was thinking of adding a mandarin so decided to take a peak at the pods....

Dinox killed my cleaner and peppermint shrimp so I would imagine it will also kill pods

Stabilized nutrients, sucked out what I could, gave the tank two blackout periods spaced by a 2 day lower light intensity break.
My tank is relatively small btw
