I have a 2.5 year old 55 gallon mixed reef tank. Lots of coral and all my fish are very healthy. When I think of it, I’ll check my pod population at night with a red light, but it’s been a while. I checked last night, and it seemed to me that the population was kinda low. Normally, I’ll see a ton of pods scurrying along the sand and rock. My question is........is it normal for pods populations to fluctuate? Should I worry about adding pods, or will they bounce back?

Their population will self regulate in relation to available food. You can always buy some to refresh the environment if you think you need more for the fish to eat.
