Pod Question

Most types in the trade do not dig in the sand. They are crawling or free swimming. Crushed coral like Reborn Calcium media or rock with pores is good. A good thick film on the glass is good to but not very pleasing to the eye

Do copepods inhabit the substrate (sand), or just the rock ? Prior to adding my Mandarin, I added pods five times over a couple of months. As it is only a 60g, I want to make sure I keep a large enough pod population for the Mandarin.
You will find them on all surfaces. If you purchase our products, we recommend one jar per 25 gallons and feeding OceanMagik once a day to help feed the pods to boost the population. ~Shaun K.
