I see pods on the glass walls of tank but they don't appear to be moving. Is this normal?

Are you sure they're pods? Pods are like little wind up toys

Try increasing or reducing lights and see if there is a change. During light, they often hide in pores within rocks

What you are describing sounds like hydroids. Can you get a pic under white lights, please?

Hard to get a good pic as there's no background on the rear of tank.

100% hydroids. As long as there aren't thousands of them all over it's a natural process they come and go.

Possibly die off but why not scrape and suck out? Always get rid of anything you don't want when you first see it!

I've read that Hydroids feed off of Phyto. Should I stop feeding Phyto until they're gone?
