hello reef guys .
I went to the store today and the guy recommend to buy pods apocyclops.
He told me to add it to the tank and add again after 2 maybe 3 months .
This should be a food for mandarin goby and red Ruben dragnet.
He said after adding it , it will be Enough food for them for 2 maybe 3 months .
Kinda weird. Is that really a case?
I have nono cube 24 gallons.

To quote someone here"
I have been raising and selling copepods for about 9 months now, and in my experience, about 500 copepods should hold up a mandarin for about a week, but I would reccomend adding 1000 initially, then 500 the next week, then another 500 monthly to supplement the population. A 65 gallon should sustain a mandarin for quite some time, but you may need to supplement the population.

No they will probably eat them faster than they can multiply. Will they accept frozen foods? I have a mandarin that eats frozen atm so its somewhat easy but my original mandarin ate a lot I stocked pods for the tank once a week, very very pricey.

If you can get a ORA raised fish, it might eat eat frozen food along with pods

I don't have the fish yet. They recommended to add the whole 8oz to the tank, and buy the fish after 2 weeks , then adding the 8oz pads every 2 to 3 months

Oh ok I wouldn't try for both yet then, if I were you I would make sure you could take care of one and feed it before getting the second. The pods will not be a staple food source since one will probably eat the pods faster than you can replenish them in a 24 gallon. Where were you planning on getting them? Maybe try what Lapin said and get an ORA raised one

Could be 100 or 1000. Hard to tell how many unless you count them under a microscope or the LFS tells you truthfully.

Yea, it is confusing now. The guy said , it will last for 2 maybe 3 months , and the fish will be ok with those pods. It looks more complicated now,
