Was cleaning my glass this morning and noticed what I'm pretty sure are pods, just wanting to make sure it's not something more sinister. They were moving around.

I'm not saying they are sinister, but they do not appear to be pods to me. Would need a clearer picture to say for sure.

Unfortunately I'm not sure I'll be able to get another picture, I've never seen them before, and only snapped that picture before coming to work. Started cleaning my glass and noticed these. I'm hoping they are pods, because I would like a mandarin at some point, but if they're not pods, what could they be?

I'm not sure. They look larger and more white than any pods I've had in a tank. They could be a species of pods that I am not familiar with or it could be an artifact of the picture itself.

I have had white things like that, do you run filter socks? I took a sample from a sock and put it under a microscope to find out it was an Amphipod. They are larger than copepods, and someone on here told me mandarins wouldn't eat them. A mandarin is my most wanted fish.

My mandarin eats amphipods. My amphipods are no where near that white though. Again, it could be a lighting issue or just a different strain than I have had.

I thought they would eat them, I was surprised when someone said otherwise. Good to know.

Mine even eats PE Mysis. I had never made any effort to get him eating frozen and was shocked he could eat something that large.
