My equipment turns people off, they say it’s too much! In truth, relative to most of you my tanks are VERY minimal!

I've tried to help others.
Most of the time they are unwilling to learn about the nitrogen cycle and the process with setting up a new tank.

They put in too many things too fast that leads to...

A lot of my friends don't mind spending $30M on a Harley

I have been called crazy more than once for paying $6 a pound for rock... lol. They also seem to lose interest quick when I start talking about the nitrogen cycle, live rock, ext...

My wife is in the financial buisness and told me the M stands for thousand? This was a discussion we had a few months back. I started to argue, but then thought better and said that's just dumb. Lol

I've campaigned for a "re branding" of live rock. Like most items that are old, you label them "vintage" and people line up to pay top dollar. Live rock is calcium carbonate or Limestone, much of which was laid down 350 million years ago.
Calling it Vintage Bio Filter and you'd have Japanese collectors breaking down your door like they were old Levi's.

My sister got me into this hobby and now I am obsessed. Now I bore her with every minute detail of my tank and purchases. I have to pester her for pics of her tank and will only get an update every couple of months.

Is your wife Roman? M is the Roman character for 1,000. I see it all the time when I buy cable. It is often priced out looking like $15,500/M which would be $1.55 per foot.
