DO YOU CHANGE YOUR LIGHTING SCHEDULE TO MATCH DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME?

Last edited:
Nope, no need to adjust anything as my lighting will do that for me.

No I am not annoying my fish and corals with that bs.

Its almost like people who want to use it could just get up or go to sleep +/- 1 hour rather than making everyone change their clocks.

Learn something new everyday as they say.
Well just learnt USA goes forward one hour 2nd Sunday in march ( but read not all states do this? Is that true ? )
And Britain clocks go forward on last Sunday of March and thought all countries did same date but ovbiously not lol.

I'm 44 and only just last year I learnt Britain only gmt in summer months lol as I thought Greenwich mean time is in London so always gmt time but nope only 50% of the time ha ha
But I will adjust my timers on the lights 1 hour as lights set up for my viewing and like it how it is so will change accordingly. Not that an hour makes that much difference but still will ^_^

Some years I don't and some I do. I think mine do it themselves now either through NTP or syncing with the phone clock.

I use a pair of prime 32s and have no clue how to do that from a schedule that I downloaded from AI, so it just stays the same year round.

I do change the time on my schedule ( when it doesn't automatically) because it's set to my viewing enjoyment and schedule.

I just discovered that it’s done automatically as I use a smart plug as a timer, otherwise wasn’t planning to

Voted yes only cuz I did sort of. Used to change it then I did just 1/2 hour change. Now that I'm on my phone to control the light, I think it does it automatically.
Confused yet?

Using Apex controller and I change nothing. The clock changes itself and schedule remains the same

Was just wondering why my lights weren’t on already. I change it because I like to keep the viewing hours of my tank at the same time for the tank isn’t still in daylights at 9 PM.

I only turn lights on when feeding or just relaxing watching the fish. Having the lights off helps with alge, I’ve been told. Is that not true? New to the saltwater world. Thanks
