An often discussed topic is the addition of Amino Acids to our aquariums. I'm curious to see how many of us are actually dosing or adding Amino Acids. Do you?

It depends on the tank I'm running. In a heavily stocked, well fed, system, I don't dose AA's.
In a frag tank, or a clean system with minimal feeding, I may dose Seachem's Reef Plus, vitamins and AA. If I have an under weight fish, I'll soak their food in Reef Plus until they recover. I've tried other brands, but this one seems to work best for me.
Peace

I keep some on hand as well as some fine particulate food. TLF acro power, KZ coral vitalizer, BRS reef chili, coral frenzy.

I don’t use it all the time. If I put in some fresh carbon, miss a feeding or two, or accidentally drive phosphate too low with phosphate rx, I will target feed the acros and dose amino acids to avoid a negative response from stripping the water. If my nitrates are over 5 ppm and my phosphates are over 0.03 ppm I will not use any of those products. Basically keep them on hand for occasional use if needed. It has helped to reduce the temporary polyp retraction and brittle tissue that can result from driving nutrients too low too fast

I do I tend to run low
Bordering on ultra low nutrient systems so I feel it's a must

I typically run a low to ulns. For close to a year this poor Acro looked like this. I thought it was dead but it still had polyp extension. I started dosing Polyp Labs Polyp Booster (AA) and Reef Roids (coral food).

I was dosing acropower pretty often until the solution formed a ton of precipitate, at which point I stopped dosing it. I've since seen some loss of color in my SPS corals but I'll be ordering a new bottle today and probably keep this one in the fridge this time.

You are not the first person I've heard say this. Although the other guy did does a full weeks dose all at once lol.

I dose acropower every 3 days in my softy dominated mixed reef. I've been doing it for a few months, just finished my first 500ml bottle and the colours of my acros in a sea of softies is pretty good. I'm not really sure how much it is helping but it's not hurting so I will continue for now. Despite the fact my tank is softy dominated I run it pretty clean so adding a small amount of aminos twice a week is not causing any kind of nutrient issues.

I voted no, but I have in the past, seems like every time I dose something with my tank decides to get out of whack or cyano starts.

started dosing fuel last month. heard a lot of good things about it. would like to see the long term affects it has if any. time will tell
I also use fuel . I Soak my frozen food in it particularly the finicky eater Shakespeare (indigo hamlet) love squid and other fleshy morsals so I soak it for the vitamins.

I dose Acropower once a week, right after I do my water change.

I've used Fuel - tossed that quickly as it raised nutrient levels with no visible gain.
I've used AcroPower - Still keep it around to mix things up periodically. Visible benefit, but not substantial.
I'm a regular user of Red Sea Reef Energy A+B. Great colors, great health, no radical nutrient spikes.
