I am trying to get a consensus on your experiences with Flame Angels and your reefs!

Mine nipped at my Euphyllia (Hammer and Frogspawn). He was a jerk as well, so the coral nipping was the final straw and out he went. My Coral Beauty has taken a few exploratory nips but seems to prefer algae grazing, seaweed and reef frenzy. I do think that it helps with any dwarf angel to have a tank that is well established with plenty of algae for the fish to graze on and keep it fed with seaweed. Not saying it's 100% but I do think it helps.

Your poll isn't going to be very helpful. As noted, some corals are more at risk than others. If you keep predominantly SPS, a flame is fine. If you keep acans, and care about them, odds get worse that it will be fine.

Yeah, it's going to be a toss up no matter how many votes you get. I've had a handful of dwarf angels over the years and never had a problem with any of them nipping at coral even other flame angels, except the flame angel I have now. It doesn't destroy corals, it just swims around taking samples of most everything, enough so that the polyp extension on my sps is almost nonexistant. But, again, it really is a case to case basis so add and observe if you decide that you must have a dwarf angel.
