A few fish yes .
Blue velvet damsel that was 6” long
Squirrel fish , and a spotted grouper I inherited from a friend closing his tank

also a extremely aggressive potters angelfish
12” snowflake eel that was eating new juv yellow belly tangs

I have returned at least 20 fish. lol. Beginner mistakes, buying fish that it too big for my tank. I returned 5 fish for a planned 3 month vacation and move after that, which got ruined due to the pandemic.

Anyway, it more about coral for me than fish now.

This beautiful guy had to go back to the lfs. Grew way too aggressive.

Your unfortunate experience saves me a lot of trouble. I was seriously considering purchasing a clown night. I did read that they had a somewhat aggressive attitude

Never would return. That would spell death for them. I have rehomed fish. I rehomed a vlamingi tang because I didn’t do my own research and got the “yeah he’ll be fine in your tank bro” from the fish store. I try and be thorough and stalk anyone who I might donate/rehome a fish to.

When I first started this hobby I bought two yellow tangs. Boy did I learn quickly. They were friends for a few weeks but then it was WW3. Had to tear apart my whole aquascape to catch the bully and returned him back to the store

Yeah that’s another stunner!
Never new you could take a fish back I have never tried
Didn’t know you could either until I asked. From what I’m seeing from the poll, this is probably very common (returning fish) so fish stores have to adapt to that some way
