Curious to see what the average height above the water line members keep their lights. Obviously this can vary greatly depending on individual circumstances and equipment used, but just looking for an average.

My Photon 48 sits on top of my canopy about 12" over the water line.

My 6 bulb T5 is about 3" above the water line; any higher and laying in bed at night the bright lights shine right in my eyes and not only blinds me, but it overpowers the tank since my eyes immediately jump to and notice the lights instead of what I want to see--the fish.
I also really like how it looks like that.
