A few years ago Home Depot promised to phase out neonicotinoid pesticides and plants treated with them by 2018. Lowes, walmart, and True Value have followed suit, so I expect Bayer to become more difficult to find in the near future.

I usually purchase corals from a couple of locals that I can trust and havent had a need to dose. I do have Revive on hand (dont even remember how I got it) and would use Bayer if not.

I was planning to use Bayer, but I can no longer get it around me. It has been banned in many places in the US. I tried to order it next from an online retailer, but they would not ship it. Worst part is when I started my build nine months ago, I confirmed my local hardware store had it. I figured I would pick some up when I was closer to adding corals. It was banned recently. One bottle would have lasted me a long time.
Cough amazon cough

It was not available at my HD either (here in AR). I ordered it on Amazon as Bayer and the bottle that came looked exactly the same except it didn't say "bayer" I don't have it in front of me so I cannot elaborate on what it said, but seemed to be the same chemical formula. I have not used it yet. Still using Coral Rx

Amazon no, trying eBay.

BTW, Bayer sold off this product:

Seachem for me. Trusted and always available.

I use Coral Rx for about 10 minutes. Look for eggs and other hitch hikers. Scrape the coral if needed. Then throw them in quarantine for 6 to 7 weeks and dip again before putting them into my tank.

When you're all saying Bayer, do you mean Bayer Insecticide? Any particular kind?

This is what I use.

this one

Theres some variation in how much bayer, to how much water. Heard everything from 2ml-10ml bayer for 5oz of water. Means don’t have to super accurate to be safe and effective.
+1^^^

I use Coral RX first so I can see the turds that fall and squirm. Then I follow that up with a fetal blow of Bayer. I use a white dose. No skim milk here. I’ve even had a few things live through both of these dips. I find Bayer to be pretty darn safe.

Speaking of, I just ran out. Can we still buy the good one???

I just found BioAdvance Complete Insect Killer at Lowes (8/13/2018)... It had a yellow sticker so I think they are phasing out. It was $10 bucks for a big bottle.
