I’ve been handling fish for years, so I got some skills for sure. I guess same can be said for a highly skilled Japanese sushi chef.

Yeah, we probably have about the same success rate in keeping them alive... LOL

Unfortunately, it depends on my motivation level. When I want to do something right, I'm sure I could be an 8. The problem is I never want to do things right for very long...

I have an outstanding FOWLA (and yes, that's a "Fish Only with Luxurious Algae") build. My skill-set in this is perfect: you'd think that I'd have decades of experience in the field as you behold the verdant greenery swaying in the flows. Magnifience! I've always prided myself on my green thumb.

Been doing this on and off for about 30 years now. I would like to think I have enough knowledge to share, but then something happens that makes me think I'm a rookie again.

The day I stop learning, is the day I die.

I am not your typical reefer. I have done things in my tank that would make most people cringe. Like put bleach in the overflow to kill aptaisia, or remove an entire 5" dsb in one tank to put it in another tank and put the whole reef back together the next day (no losses).
I think I know how to keep a successful reef and curtail some problems. I have had some downfalls and now I finally have an apex and can see what's happening in my reef realtime which has helped tremendously.

Cheers
