My tank is doing great and all my corals are growing but why don't I have polyp extension during the day they only come out at night but there is clear signs of growth and no color loss?

What lights are everyone using? I'm using Chinese black boxes
I use a 4 bulb t5 fixture, two blue plus , I aqua blue special and one purple plus, I've been to a few lfs and they told me that it's normal to only have extension at night but I need more clarification, I have growth and I do see polyps at night but little to none when the lights are on !

What fish types do you house?
The Acropora look pale, have you considered increasing the nutrients to the tank?
My Acropora show active PE night and day. You have some smoother skin acropora that may not show as much PE but that millipora should show PE all the time.
Have you checked for Red Bugs?
Did you rule out water chemistry as the cause?

I have the same problem with a blue millie, never see the polyps out at all not even at night but it showing slow growth. My tricolor has beautiful green polyps during the day but not alot of extention til night time. My red planet, red Millie and green hulk Millie all have crazy hair going on. I am running radion xr30 g3 pro with my own modified sps ab+ schedule. I am looking to add t5 supplement lighting but that will be for another topic.

I do have a flame but he doesn't bother any coral I feed often , my nutrient was way too high at one point and there was alge everywhere and the tank broke out in cyano eventually , I have since corrected the problem but I still don't have extension

The pale looking acro is an ice fire ,it's just the lighting

Though he said there is no problem with that and his corals are growing very good and are healthy.
