I am thinking of using a 7” media cup and Poly-Fil in lieu of filter socks. my question is how much of the cup do you fill? Has anyone used this with success?
I'd think you want to put enough so that it covers the slots on the sides of the cup to prevent detritus from bypassing the fil. Replace it when the cup is nearing or begins to overflow.
