Will this diffuse too much light or will it be fine? I’m looking at krakenreef lids

Those will be fine. Any lid/screen will reduce par to some minor extent but the benefits in keeping fish in the water far outweigh the minimal loss of light.

Plus, those are pretty slick looking covers. I'm wanting to replace my screen and will look into them.
