Hi. I want to know if anyone has kept this species of marine life. I recently purchased two specimens. Unfortunately they arrived in bad condition. Although I do not even know how they should look when they are good and when they are bad.

they look Ok, mine stayed closed like that for a few days after adding it to my tank. it would also occasionally shed a mucus and then open back up, so it needs decent flow too, unfortunately i wasn't able to keep it long term due to a heater failure about a month later. good luck with them, i would love to try keeping one again, these things are so cool!!

Hi! It's been over a month. My Polycarpa aurata are still alive and feeling well. The small ascidia on this rock are doing just as well. At first I tried feeding them frozen copepods (daphnia). But the ascidia do not take such food, but suck it into themselves and then spit it out. Then I switched to smaller live food. This food I grow myself. It consists of bacteria and infusoria. A little later I will post a video of this food through a microscope.
