I have a very small amount of copper (Hannah test kit says 0.14ppm) vial is clear (purple usually means there’s a lot of copper).

I noticed polyfilter pads turn blue but cuprisorb isn’t really getting exhausted.

Should I invest my money in just polypads only? I’m just dealing with chelated copper.

Also, does anyone know what poly filters are made of? Is there a similar unbranded material that someone can buy for cheaper without the fish brand markup?

Im assuming you are referring to this, right?

No mine was white like cotton almost. It's in a box in the garage. When I pull the truck out in the morning I'll get it down from the rafter.

Hanna test kit means what?

The Hanna copper checker is notoriously inaccurate in reef tanks. I'd only use it for a medication tank, not to detect low levels in a reef tank.

I've used polyfilter for many years with great results. I'm sure cuprisorb ok but no experience with it. Poly filter gets more metals out than anything iv used. Good luck with it.

I know, but my polyfilters are turning blue (that means copper) and I know there was copper in the tank.

I just wanted to know if polyfilters or cuprisorb is more effective for chelated copper removal. I will get an ICP test after I am finished exporting the copper.

OK.

I have no information that would suggest which is more effective, but both appear to work for folks to reduce copper.
