Has anyone used this with success? Did it hurt any if your corals? I see something that I think maybe spots on my tangs. I put the first dose in tonight but am now having second thoughts and trying to decide if I should just stop or continue with the treatment.

From what I have read in the past, General consensus is that it is hit or miss in managing ich, but it does not eradicate the issue. Thoughts are that people think it fixes the ich because the spots do go away but that is also part of the life cycle of ich. Depending on your situation it might be worth it to use it until you are able to get a QT set up and catch all of your fish then go through a typical qt process if your goal is to eradicate ich. hope this helps

Nailed it

I tried it against my better judgement and it didn't work. Have since gone fallow.

A number of fellow reefers I know who are much more experienced than me, understand the ich life-cycle and don't tend to fall for snake oil swear by it though. They use triple the recommended dose for over 4 weeks. Theoretically, targeting ich in the free swimming stages over the course of their life-cycle makes sense.

It's not for me though. 1 month of triple dosing is hundreds of dollars and there are no guarantees.

It's a gamble some are willing to take. Not me either, though. Peroxide (essentially what this is) no doubt does some damage to free-swimming ich, but highly unlikely to eradicate it.
