I have had several corals ; Duncan, Frogspawn, Acans, and Dendros. They all have had polyp bailouts. Trying to find out if there is a definite cause for this. All corals are in there suggested places. Tank is a 125 with 2 sets of T5 HO's, 36".parameters are as follows...

Salt- 1.025
Ph- 8.3
Alk- 8.5
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 7
Cal - 435
Mag- 1320
Temp- avg 80
Phosphate - 0

Running carbon and dosing vodka ; 4.5 ml / day
Water changes are done every week ; 10% using RSCP salt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

2 sets of T5? How many lamps? How long have you had the corals? Whats the flow? Thats the only thing I got for ya, your parameters are all in check.

Take a couple cups of the sand bed out and smell it. Sometimes there can be too much decay under the sand bed that goes unnoticed. If so replace.

Anytime I'm having problems with my tank I go back to basics and start over.

If it was me I'd stop dosing vodka and everything and start over. Test like crazy until you find out how much your tank needs to be dosed. Do you have sps or clams? If your tank isn't hard coral heavy you may not need to be dosing much, especially using RSCP salt which is high in alk and cal anyway. Any reason you started dosing vodka to begin with?

Have you looked in the tank at night for a bad hitchhiker that might be harming the corals? Any hungry peppermint shrimp?
