Can anyone help ID this fast growing polyp that has taken over this Zoa? Thank you!

Sorry not the mushroom, the tiny flower like things covering the rock. Thanks

Invasive is sure right, they have KILLED a nice colony of Zoa's in about 3-4 weeks. They definitely are not blue though, brown and tough to see. The rock is separate and not touching anything near by, guess it will stay that way. Will get the mushroom off that rock so its not next.

Problem with that plan is that they readily broadcast spawn. Fluconazole has been used, but you're going to have to research instructions.

I never like to be that guy , but, you will probably want to toss the rock.

The feared blue cloves will spread across a tank , the pretty cloves we buy will send out runners. These ? Dunno. I have tossed small rocks covered in them.

I would not intentionally add them to my tank. Some people love of the look of them. Far too invasive for me though.

Its gone, the rock was about the size of a baseball so it won't be missed much. Tough getting that Orange Mushroom off it though, hope I don't loose it.

Mushrooms are pretty resilient. We have some green bounces that I cut off a rock. Literally left behind a small piece and it's a full mushroom now about 4" across in about 8 months time.
