Hello,
I noticed this red and green polyp pop up on an the skeleton of a leptoseris, which had been completely dead for a few months now. Is this what new growth looks like, or is it some kind of small anemone?

For reference, this is what the coral looked like a few months ago:

Doesn't look like a manjano anemone to me; could be some other anemone or maybe some sort of corallimorph?

BTW that's not a Leptoseris; it's either Lithophyllon or Cycloeris wellsi/explanulata

Thanks—wasn’t too sure on the coral’s ID either. Never had much to work off of because I had bought it as a tiny frag in a $5 misc. bin.

Do you have RFA's?

Looks like a baby RFA to me.
