Keep the rock seperated from everything else.
These are some of the faster growers and most toxic. You will likely want to 'upgrade' within a year.
Also beware of the yellowish version that is nearly identical.
We grow a variety of the toxic Paly's because our flame angelfish eats the others.
Wear nitrile gloves, eye protection and then face protection on top of that when you frag them.
We have had them for years with no problems. I enjoy them.
Just remember the level of respect you need to give them when working with them.
Keep them under water in a seperate tray as much as possible and wash your hands several times in cool water when you are finished fragging them. Use disposable towels and seal them in plastic when done.
Their poison is no joke.
Grandis paly's under white light.
Grandis paly's under blue light.
Nuclear greens under blue light (lousy picture)
Pandora under blue light (another lousy picture)
Our Superman/Captain America(?) doesn't open much. Maybe it's paly toxin level is a little lower than the others?
All this is just guessing based on what the flame angelfish devours and what it leaves alone.
A similar type of Grandis paly's is called Cinnamon.
A pretty name for brown with a pretty pattern.
The green Grandis paly's can have a sky blue center when grown under different lighting or a greater distance from the light? (T5?) We switched to LED years ago. I miss that color.
