So I noticed 4 white spots on my yellow tang and naturally freaked out
I think it is ether ich or Lympho but I don’t intend on waiting to find out

The spots havnt seemed to of spread, gotten bigger or effected other fish

Anyway my question is
Does polyp labs aqua medic cure or suppress ich or nether?
If the infection isn’t sever and the yellow is eating and behaving normally should I treat or let it fight it off itself?

I used it when I had a bad outbreak on an Anthias, sailfin, and clown. I lost the anthias. But the rest were cured. It’s reef safe as I have a mixed LPS, SPS system and the corals did not seem bothered by the dosing. It’s recommended up to 20 days of dosing. I used all 20 days to ensure that the fish were cured. The only fish lost was the Anthias. It’s an acceptable loss due to the massive outbreak that I had. Once a fish has ick and survives its immune to future ick infections. I highly recommend medic. Just make sure when you place the med in a cup you let it dissolve completely. I takes a bit of mixing. GL!

Lol, man so many grammatical errors. I should have had coffee before I posted. If you have any questions I’ll be happy to answer and clarify my post.

How about a photo of the patient?

I use aqua medic every 6 months in my tank whether it needs it or not. No I’ll effects. I also run UV 24/7 and feed live foods every day. No diseases.

And I know I have introduced fish w ich and velvet.

Sounds like a good routine! Ballsy move introducing fish with ich and velvet I’m happy it paid off for you

Yes. The life cycle of Ick is interesting. So the first bloom of the infection flakes off and will appear that the fish is healing. Unfortunately this is how the organisms reproduce. Once they have dislodged they look for a new host. It then rears it’s ugly face a day or so later. I dosed Garlic as well.

Ok cool, if it re appears I’ll dose aqua medic

Sorry, but I tried polyp lab aqua medic 3 times with ich, and not once did it work... it's not cheap either.

I've only been successful fighting ich with copper or tank transfer method...

Goodluck!
