Pom Pom Crab?

I am interested in getting a pom pom crab for my 40 gallon and wanted some more info about them. I have a few snails, hermits, 1 emerald crab and a couple shrimp. Would a pom pom work? Are they easy to keep? do they hide all day?

Should be fine and yes they hide a lot. We get a glimpse of ours here and there basically lol. Cool little crabs.

If you want to see them all the time, the smaller tanks are much better. I use to keep about 4-5 in a 40 gallon but only saw them every once in a great while.

A 40 gallon tank is a little bit big for a pom pom crab because they are reclusive and you would be lucky to see him again!

I put 2 in my 115g cube 2 years ago. I just saw one for the first time in 5 months, in the dark. Save your money for something that you'll actually see IMO
