PomPom Sting?

Was wondering if anyone knows how potent the anemones on them are? I know they can bug SPS on occasion but are generally reef safe. We have 1 and our Melanarus that's usually good swooped in on its way down to the rock to check him out. Long story short he tried to nip once and the crab let him have it with both barrels blazing so to speak - stung with one side then reached over and stung the living bejeezus out of the other side of his face before the Melanarus was able to disengage and swim away. Since then hes occasionally paused near him but will run when he recognizes the crab. If he tries this again is there any danger to the Melanarus of getting repeatedly stung? I don't anticipate it happening given there is blatant fear on the wrasse's part and this little crab is an underwater ninja but figured I would ask just in case given its a new intro and I am about to leave for the weekend. Tank is a 125 with 150lbs of rock so they got alot of room to stay out of each others way.

Looks like that wrasse had a learning experience. Anemone stings can kill fish, coral, inverts, etc. Some are worse than others due to their stickiness. This is just an educated guess but I think the duration of the sting is what kills the fish/organism as the anemone puts its neurotoxin into the other organism that eventually kills them if they touch it long enough (again this is an educated guess as to why a slight brush isn't bad). The pom pom anemones are so small that they are not going to kill anything that you like but all anemones can sting

Yeah I know they all sting, just was not sure how potent their sting was given I can find a lot on the crab itself but not a lot on the anemones it uses. That makes sense though given you often see fish have that agitated brush with one but its rarely fatal unless it manages to ensnare/curl around them. If only I could get that obnoxious Azure damsel to take a dive into my bubble tip lol..
