I just did the test where I got a gallon of water and aerated it with outside air for an hour and my ph went from 7.8 to 8.
I already am using a huge scrubber with outside air attached to my skimmer.

how big of a pond aerator should I get and what diffusers?

I know that 7.8-8 isn’t a huge deal but I’d love to get to 8.3. Very slow growth currently. Also drops to 7.6 on occasion.

A pond aerator would do what, exactly? Send in outside air? Salt spray is an issue with normal bubbling.

Yes send in outside air, oxygenate the water, ph goes up. Then again I don’t know ****. Lol

Any sort of bubbling can lead to salt spray issues. I wouldn’t recommend it unless the sump is totally covered and you do it there.

Ok. How big of an aerator should I buy?
Worth a whirl.

Aerators are not typically among the options I recommend. I discuss pH here:
