Pond UV Sterilizer for saltwater tank?

[Joeganja]

Me and my buddy are in an argument and he bought a UV sterilizer that's made for ponds for his saltwater tank. Anyone have any support?

A UV sterilizer is the same for saltwater and freshwater use. I used to have a emperor Aquatics UV on my 180.

I was looking at the ones for ponds myself, as long as your flow thru the bulb is right I think he'll be good.
