Several years back I had a small 30g or so tank that I ordered in some rock out of the Florida area for. On this rock I recieved many kinds of macros, all of which I was able to identify except for one. This was my favorite of the bunch because it was so unusual and pretty. However I was never able to ID it! I've been trying to find pictures of this stuff but so far have no success, so I will do my very best to describe it.
It was growing on the rock, first of all. The texture was very very fine. it felt like the softest makeup sponge, but not as dense. The color on the top of it was light pink, which at the bottom had faded to white. The shape was round, almost perfectly so. I let it get to softball size before I cut it back along with the rest, and it always grew back into this super fluffy round shape. It never spread beyond this one mass, probably because I did keep it trimmed but I can't be sure.
I really want to get one of these in my tank now, but I can't find out what it's called to get any! I never have seen it on sites saying they sell macros though, and I am not sure if that's a good or bad sign. XD
