I mean, in reality, there aren't many plastics that wouldn't be reef safe, correct?

Anything that is going to have potable water ran through it is differently reef safe. Pool hose new would be reef safe especially the ones used in saltwater filtered pools, the would not be any metal used. Plastic is plastic, as long as there is no residue of some chemicals use during processing inside you should be good. It just depends if you want to have really cool looking line ran every where.

Some, such as polyethylene and polypropylene which are not plasticized, may run less risk of a leached plasticizer which could theoretically have less impact on an organism.

Not 100% sure what it is made of but it should be reef safe. I would be hesitant to use it because of how the ends are attached on regular pool hose. They are almost screwed on and many times leak. The hose they shall for drains on tanks is fused together so less likely to leak

I have never seen a threaded pool hose. All mine have always been slip and all the pool stores I've been to, the hose ends are slip.

I mean how the end is actually attached to the hose not how it attaches to other plumbing. Usually one end is fused on and one "screwed" on so that it can swivel.

Ah ok your talking about the hose before it connects to the cuff

Thank you. I saw this at home depot last night and wondered if it would work. Good to know.
