Not 100% sure what it is made of but it should be reef safe. I would be hesitant to use it because of how the ends are attached on regular pool hose. They are almost screwed on and many times leak. The hose they shall for drains on tanks is fused together so less likely to leak
I mean how the end is actually attached to the hose not how it attaches to other plumbing. Usually one end is fused on and one "screwed" on so that it can swivel.I have never seen a threaded pool hose. All mine have always been slip and all the pool stores I've been to, the hose ends are slip.
