The corner reef in st Louis MO

What's your guys thoughts.

A goldfish would have sufficed.
Agree. Feeding a clownfish when a sw Molly would have done the trick. It's not it eating live food but the expense. They will have to make it up some way and higher charges on fish or goods.

I think that a clownfish was a bit much. A cheap chromis or Molly wouldn’t done better. Most clownfish are 30-50 dollars and that’s just ridiculous to spend for a feeder.

I think it's a waste of money, but don't think there is an ethical dilemma here.

That predator has to eat be it at a live Molly, silver side or whatever. A fish is going to die in the process for the other to live.

I bet we can find a bunch of reefers with mean clowns who wouldn't mind borrowing that predator for a few minutes so they can stick their hand back in the tank again.

Maybe they should offer free clown fish removal.

ive heard this from a store owner in the past year. the fish that go to stores for sale, are a small portion of fish that are part of a new batch. you might have some that have defects, dont look as good as others, or whatever. those ones that dont get sold are generally used for food anyway. the video itself, i hate to see it either way

Why does a clownfish matter more than a salt water molly?

That looks so cool! Circle of life!

It does not bother me if it is captive bred but I think if I had to feed live fish I would contact a breeder asking to buy culls. Breeders kill baby clownfish that have deformities or are supposed to... even ones that do not effect the health of the fish. Seems better to not waste them.
