So after way too many hours working this week... I couldn't sleep....
Some alcohol.... boredom surfing the web... (why is it so hard to find Heniochus diphreutes???? Schooling Bannerfish)
My pea brain decided it was the perfect time for a water change on one of our tanks.
I already had the water ready. 12 out...12 back in.
I swap filter pads and find a small (1" ish) worm that I've seen in my mechanical filters many times before.
They have been in my system for at least a year. I've always assumed they were some type of bristle worm.
I pull it off the filter and set it on my forearm.
..... the most "G" rated skin I can think of. (See pic)
Nothing. No burn. No redness. Nothing.... I stare at it wondering why it doesn't hurt??
Literally...no feeling. No mark
What is this thing?
Good? Bad.
Kill with fire or

breast feed?

Hard to tell? I do not see any segments? Maybe a small peanut worm?

@KJ ? Peanut seems right.

Thanks ya'll for the ID.
Google pics show some gigantic examples. Very interesting.
I will continue to return them to the sump when I find 'em.

Hard to tell when it’s out of water.
Why was your first thought to stick it on your arm?! Lol
